As one of the largest Corn Wet Milling Plant in Southeast Asia, we have established our presence as a leading food ingredient producer that specializes in manufacturing high-quality corn, tapioca, and sago starches. Our high-performance processing facilities allow us to turn such staple food into starch and other derivatives, which can be applied in food processing and for industrial use.
Founded in 2011, PT Arena Agro Andalan (AAA) started off with producing tapioca and sago starch in its modern, fully automated starch factory in West Kalimantan. Within 2 years, in 2013, the company quadrupled its capacity with the addition of its second factory with more advanced facilities in Central Java. Furthermore in 2018, we embarked on a significant investment into our Central Java facility to enable us to process Corn Starch and its co-products, that include Corn Germ, Corn Gluten Meal, and Corn Bran. And just recently, adding Corn Grits, Corn Flour, and Hominy into its product portfolio, to serve the growing needs of the food and feed industries of Indonesia and its regional neighbors.
At present, AAA markets its products locally and regionally under the Mekar Mas brand.
Our endeavors began as we operate Arena Agro Andalan’s tapioca starch factory in Sanggau, West Kalimantan and produced the first batches of Mekar Mas Tapioca Flour.
Operating a second, bigger tapioca starch processing factory in Wonogiri, Central Java.
Setting up our first biogas reactor and utilising liquid waste from starch production as a renewable energy source for our boilers.
Our Wonogiri factory reached a production capacity of 150 TPD corn grain and successfully produced our first batches of corn starch.
Our Wonogiri factory upgraded its capacity for starch production to 300 TPD corn grain.
